What is SCA?

SCA stands for Student Council Association.  SCA is a group that fosters leadership and citizenship in students.  SCA students are encouraged to focus on current problems or needs in the school or community and seek solutions.  Members promote school and community participation in activities, service projects, fundraisers, etc. 

 What does SCA do?

  • Canned food drives
  • Spirit weeks
  • Coin drives or other fundraisers
  • Holiday service projects
  • School social activities dances, movie nights, etc.
  • Bookstore
  • Recycling

How often does SCA meet?

SCA meetings are held on the 1st or 2nd Thursday of the month.  Meetings start at 2:30 and end at 3:30.

Fourth Grade students can run for:               Fifth Grade students can run for:    

-Vice-President                                                      -President                       

-Secretary                                                            -Treasurer

 4th and 5th graders can be elected to be a representative of their class.  Two representatives are elected in each class.  Voting takes place in classrooms the week after officer elections.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO TURN IN AN APPLICATION TO BE A CLASS REP.  Simply tell your teacher that you are interested.
