Work Experience/Student Apprenticeship Program

This program combines high school academic instruction with technical training provided through work experience.  A student becomes a youth apprentice when the employer registers him or her with the Department of Labor.  At that point all hours worked can be transferred into an adult apprenticeship program.

Eligible students should be rising seniors and must have satisfactory school attendance and be able to meet all graduation requirements.

Interested students must:

  • Register for this program during the spring of their junior year
  • Locate employment in their chosen technical occupation
  • Complete the "Mutual Expectations Agreement" and obtain all required signatures
