Philosophy
Hanover's teachers understand that "hands-on, minds-on" experiences are  essential when guiding students toward scientific literacy.
K-12 Curriculum Overview
The scope of scientific knowledge is built from the elementary through the secondary level using a specific sequence of skills.  Each grade level and/or course offers unique learning experiences in life science, physical science, earth science, and scientific investigation, reasoning, and logic.

The Virginia Department of Education offers information pertaining to the Standards of Learning including science curriculum frameworks, 1995 to 2003 crosswalks, Lessons on the Bay, and other materials that support science instruction.
