Health Education
A student in health education will acquire understanding of health concepts and skills and to apply them in making healthy decisions to improve, sustain, and promote personal, family, and community health.

Physical Education
A Physical Education student in Hanover County

will acquire the knowledge, processes, and skills needed to engage in meaningful physical activity both in the present and for a lifetime through moderate to vigorous physical activity.  Physical education instruction will lead to personal enjoyment, challenge, satisfaction, and a health enhancing level of personal fitness for our students.

Driver Education
Driver education is taught as part of health and physical education in tenth grade.  The program consists of 36 hours of classroom instruction the student will focus on knowledge of rules and procedures, as well as safe driving attitudes. Students will also receive driver simulation instruction as part of the classroom instruction to better develop their fundamentals of driving.
