The Art room at Henry Clay is a wonderful place for preschool through second grade students to be creative and to explore many different forms of art. Students come to art once a week and receive instruction in the areas of art history, art production, aesthetics, and art criticism.

Throughout the school year, the art department is involved with many special programs that allow the children's artwork to be seen in shows.

Opportunities for the display of artwork include:
      Channel 99 Hanover Art Fest
      Hanover County School Board
Office Exhibit Hanover County Arts and Science Festival
      Youth Art Month

Student artwork is always on display throughout the hallways at Henry Clay. Art is basic to learning and enriches a child's total learning through valuable art experiences. Students have the opportunity to experiment with many different media, talk about many different artists, and look at many different works of art.
